PT Bis Data Indonesia (BIGNET) currently seeking a highly skilled Backend & DevOps Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our next-generation infrastructure and services

The Backend & DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems while also managing the infrastructure, deployment, and continuous integration pipelines. You will collaborate with front-end engineers, IP network and security engineers, server and infrastructure engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that our applications run smoothly, securely, and efficiently at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, high-performance backend services, databases and APIs.

• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

• Optimize code for maximum speed, scalability, and efficiency.

• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and performance bottlenecks.

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, testing, and deployment.

• Manage and optimize cloud and on-premises infrastructure ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

• Create and maintain system monitoring for system health, performance, and security, addressing any issues proactively.

• Implement and enforce best practices for system security, backup, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 2+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or DevOps Engineer in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Node.js, Python, and Go.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, Microservices, and backend system architecture.

• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Expertise in managing cloud and/or on-premises environments.

• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking and ISP technologies.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.

• Experience in monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate complex technical concepts.
