Proxima Asia Consulting is hiring a Software Engineer - Backend on behalf of our client, a Business Consulting and Services provider.

Responsibilities

1. Develop, maintain, and enhance backend systems using Laravel.

2. Collaborate with frontend and other backend developers to build and optimize APIs.

3. Write clean, scalable, and secure code, following best practices.

4. Troubleshoot and debug backend issues to ensure smooth application performance.

5. Stay updated on backend development trends, frameworks, and tools.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in backend development or relevant projects. Fresh graduate with relevant experience is welcomed.

• Proficiency in PHP and experience with Laravel framework.

• Familiarity with Golang or Typescript and a willingness to work with it in future projects.

• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.

• Experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL, including writing and optimizing queries.

• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

• Understanding of software design principles such as OOP and MVC architecture.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

• Communicate effectively and professionally in English.

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).

• Experience with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) or event-driven architecture.

• Basic understanding of microservices architecture.

• Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing frameworks.
