• Installing and upgrading the database server and application tool
• Allocating system storage and planning storage requirements for the database system
• Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers
• Enrolling users and maintaining system security
• Ensuring compliance with database license agreement
• Controlling and monitoring user access to the database
• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database
• Planning for backup and recovery of database information
• Maintaining archived data
• Backing up and restoring databases
• Generating various reports by querying from database as per need
• Managing and monitoring data replication
• Acting as liaison with users
• Providing required documentations

Responsibilities

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience in the start-up/tech industry with some exposure to public sector and/or education work
• Have the ability to break down complex problems, identify use cases and solutions is able to work with design/research and data teams to identify user pain points/opportunities and recommend product solutions
• Demonstrates a nuanced good knowledge of data, design & research, software engineering and business processes and partners effectively with those teams
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data, metrics, and user-centric principles to justify requirements/features
• High attention to detail, and proven ability to manage ambiguity in a high-paced environment
• Understanding concept and architecture of Cluster Database of MariaDB, MongoDB, Singlestore / memsql
• Understanding backup and recovery concept of Database (Full Backup, Incremental Backup, PITR).
• Understanding concept of building effectiveness of SQL query (Tuning and Security).
• Ability to use multiple scripting.
• Experienced on Linux platform
• Familiar on Docker and Container (Openshift)
