Job Description

• Data Extraction and Analysis: Collaborate with the Business Data Scientist to extract, clean, and analyze large datasets related to guest behavior, property performance, market trends, and revenue metrics to support revenue optimization efforts.
• Insights and Reporting: Assist in generating actionable insights and recommendations through data analysis and visualization, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions about pricing, occupancy, and revenue generation strategies.
• Market Research Support: Conduct research and assist in gathering market intelligence, competitor analysis, and emerging trends to contribute to revenue optimization strategies and identify potential business opportunities.
• Pricing and Inventory Analysis: Collaborate with the Business Data Scientist to evaluate pricing strategies, perform competitive pricing analysis, and assess inventory management practices to optimize revenue generation for property owners and the company.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as occupancy rates, average daily rates, and revenue per available room (RevPAR) to assess the effectiveness of revenue generation initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
• Data Integrity and Quality Control: Collaborate with the Business Data Scientist to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with privacy regulations by implementing robust data management and governance practices.
• Collaborative Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to support revenue generation initiatives, align strategies with business objectives, and contribute to decision-making processes.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role, preferably in the hospitality, travel, or vacation rental industry.
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets.
• Solid understanding of revenue management concepts, pricing strategies, and market dynamics.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present insights to stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and data integrity.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL is a plus.
